从新视角看中国近代史的基本线索

本文从新的视角重新梳理了中国近代史的基本线索,即把中国近代史放进整个世界近代历史发展进程和中华民族形成史中,以此为视角,认为中国近代史有三条基本线索,即中国近代史是中华民族反对帝国主义,争取民族独立和解放的过程;中华民族在各层次上实现近代转型和现代化的过程;中华民族走向自觉联合的过程。     

白寿彝先生的治学与他的中国通史编纂

白寿彝先生在历史学的许多领域都取得了卓越的成就,晚年主要集中在回族史、中国史学史、中国通史等方面,并表现出总结性、成熟性和继续创新性三个特点。其中中国通史在他的学术规模中居于核心的地位,是他一生研究历史学的最高追求。他带领国内史学家,历20个春秋,终于完成体裁新颖的多卷本中国通史,实现了一个世纪中国史家的愿望,把自己的学术事业推向了辉煌的最高点。

通过对草麻黄根、茎、叶的形态解剖学研究，表明该植物具有良好的适应干旱、沙质土壤环境的结构特点，为良好的药用固沙植物。     

The other Chinese: identity work and self-orientalization of Chinese host country nationals in multinational corporations

ABSTRACT

This paper draws on an in-depth case study of narrative identity work to explore heuristically the role of host country nationals in the reproduction of orientalist discourses in multinational corporations (MNCs). Based on this analysis, it presents an identity strategy termed the other Chinese. The other Chinese claims to be in-between the West, that is constructed as superior modern and rational, and China, that is constructed as backwards and chaotic. This in-betweenness allows the other Chinese to take the role of a mediator between locals and expatriates, and at the same time claim superiority towards normal Chinese. Thus, this identity construction is a creative act of hybridization and localization, but it is not subversive to existing power structures in the MNCs. However, as we show, the construction of the other Chinese is not inextricably bound to the field of the MNCs, but is based on a hybrid and creative entanglement of various sources such as class positions and public discourse in China, in which the MNCs only occupy an insignificant role. It is, therefore, to be understood as an aspect of identity construction in China relevant for MNC identity, rather than an aspect of the transnational field of the MNCs.

情境植入视角下第三人称指称形式的所指定位

由于第三人称不是言语交际的直接参与者,其指称形式的所指定位存在诸多复杂的情况。基于Langacker的情境植入理论,分析探讨英汉日常语言中第三人称指称形式所指定位的认知规律。研究发现,英汉日常语言中第三人称指称形式的所指会在形态、语义及范畴层次等方面发生变化,其具体定位需通过话语参与者共建话语框架并进行认知加工才能得以完成。     

留日学生日本就业问题初探

留日中国学生在日本就业数位居外国留学生日本就业数之首。然而,其就业概况却不甚明了。依据日本法务省入国管理局公布的资料,挖掘出有关中国的数据,在理清留日学生的就业签证类别、就职行业、月薪报酬、就业区域及就职企业规模等基本现状的基础上,分析了就业后经济利益、职业经验、技能等全方位收益情况及工作中面临的棘手问题,以期今后对留日学生就业及中国学生的日本留学选择提供一点借鉴。     

Efficiency measures of the Chinese commercial banking system using an additive two-stage DEA

Measuring and improving the efficiency of the Chinese commercial banking system has recently attracted increasing interest. Few studies, however, have adopted the two-stage network DEA to explore this issue in the Chinese context. Because the entire operational process of the banking system could be divided into two sub-processes (deposit producing and profit earning), the evaluation of the sub-process efficiencies could be used to assist in identifying the sources of the inefficiency of the entire banking system. In this study, we utilize the network DEA approach to disaggregate, evaluate and test the efficiencies of 16 major Chinese commercial banks during the third round of the Chinese banking reform period (2003–2011) with the variable returns to scale setting and the consideration of undesirable/bad output. The main findings of this study are as follows: (i) the two-stage DEA model is more effective than the conventional black box DEA model in identifying the inefficiency of banking system, and the inefficiency of the Chinese banking system primarily results from the inefficiency of its deposit producing sub-process; (ii) the overall efficiency of the Chinese banking system improves over the study period because of the reform; (iii) the state-owned commercial banks (SOBs) appear to be more overall efficient than the joint-stock commercial banks (JSBs) only in the pre-reform period, and the efficiency difference between the SOBs and the JSBs is reduced over the post-reform period; (iv) the disposal of non-performing loans (NPLs) from the Chinese banking system in general explains its efficiency improvement, and the joint-equity reform of the SOBs specifically increases their efficiencies.
